Gifts in Kind

As an Illinois 501c3 not-for-profit organization, Musica Pacis can receive Gifts in Kind. 

 

Gifts in kind are donor contributions to Musica Pacis in the form of goods, property, or services, as opposed to gifts of cash.

 

How Musica Pacis processes a gift in kind depends on several factors, including the type of gift, the value of the gift, and how the gift will be used.

 

The dollar amount of the gift in kind is equal to the fair market price of the goods or services received.

 

Donors should know that if they make a gift in kind donation, only the out-of-pocket expense portion of their donation is tax deductible. Contact your accountant or tax specialist for more information.
